I would formally like to make a suggestion to the community (one that I have been complaining about forever. I would like to see both Jade and Amber instituted as drops from Urgoz Warren and The Deep (respectively, much like shards and ecto for FoW and UW).

As an older player, I would like to see some renewed interest in both of these areas. They are really dead.

A simple signed or unsigned would suffice. Thank you for your time. Please feel free to add your input or suggestions to this thread.

Seems like Jade and Amber really aren't worth it, imo.

Yeah, possibly put new items or better items there, but not things like the Emerald Blade cause then people would only go there instead of doing Catacombs of Kathandrax making it not a challenge to work for it, thus taking the fun out of it.

i think weapon skins would create a lot more interest than amber and jade, theyre pretty worthless and you can already get them from HFFF or ABing.

People suggested to give you a Luxon/Kurzick Blessing so you can get a nice amount of factions while playing the mission too. I personally like this idea, and think it will make the missions active again (If the faction reward is worth it) .

Factions is my favorite out of all of GW. I would really love for Anet to put some more into Factions. I'm getting tired of them excluding it and doing stuff for proph, nf and eotn

Hey. Why not? The other elite areas have their drops. The Anguish has its drops, and you can even get a few ectos in the Tombs. A few onyx and diamonds could also drop in Slaver's.

They already did 2 updates in order to revive those areas, both failed.
1st added the end chests and some new skins (Crab Claw Maul, Pronged Fan)
2nd added Draconic Scythes and Ceremonial Spears, the scythe is very rare and quite expensive but it isn't enough to bring people to doing the missions.

Having Jade or Amber as normal drops there wouldn't change anything - they're very common and cheap, not something to do Elite mission for. The only way to make them meaningful would be removing the option to exchange faction for them, but such a change after 2 years doesn't sound good.

Elite missions need elite rewards of some kind, just another weapon skin won't change much here, the ones that can now drop are valuable but it's not enough.

What could they do then? Here are some of my ideas:

1. Allow Zodiac Weapons in HoM! Complete the set (Zodiac Spear or Scythe would be awesome) or even just use the rares that drop from the endchests for the missing weapons - there's a Scythe, Spear and Focus - exactly what was missing! But simply allowing them in HoM would be too easy, much easier than buying Destroyer weapons, there have to be restrictions. How about only allowing req.8-9 inherently perfect versions and req.9 inscribable versions? I think that would do, without restrictions players would fill HoM after 5 HM runs, or by just buying the common junk. Restrictions can keep players for longer.

Also, give Faction reward for completing the missions! There was a separate thread on it here. A reward of 3,000 faction for NM and 5,000 faction for HM certainly wouldn't make it anywhere as fast as HFFF, but the big alliances could be interested in doing speed runs.
Or make these rewards smaller but give a blessing - faction for kills, but this would need some balancing - there are more mobs to be killed in Urgoz than in the Deep.

Or add some greens with impossible to reporoduce stats (Proph/Factions way or be creative), that would certainly bring players there.

And make Kanaxai's Axe bigger - there was a whole thread about it, and seriously anyone should just compare it to other axes to see it's really tiny. It should be the size of tyrian Sickle.
